Miaoli Street Dispute: Woman Drives Car into Ex-Boyfriend, Injuring 3

(Central News Agency reporter Guan Rui-ping, Miaoli County 7th) A 36-year-old woman surnamed Cai in Miaoli County today afternoon drove her car with friends to Miaoli City to meet her ex-boyfriend, surnamed Huang, and others for a negotiation. Suspected of an argument breaking out, Ms. Cai allegedly stepped on the accelerator twice, ramming into the other party before fleeing, causing three injuries to Mr. Huang and two others who were then sent to the hospital. The police are currently making every effort to track her down.

Miaoli County Fire Department stated that at 4:45 PM, they received a report that pedestrians were hit by a vehicle on Ziyuan Street in Miaoli City. Three patients at the scene had multiple abrasions and contusions on their limbs, one of whom claimed to have been run over by the vehicle and sustained more serious injuries. All three were conscious and sent to Dachen Hospital for treatment.

According to surveillance footage near the crime scene, a woman driving a white Mercedes-Benz car was initially parked against traffic on the side of Ziyuan Street in Miaoli City. At that time, several people, including Mr. Huang (44 years old), were standing and talking at the entrance of the community opposite. During the process, there was an argument and some pulling. The white car suddenly made a U-turn and drove directly towards the community entrance.

After everyone was startled and dodged, the white car, ignoring the people in front of it, made another sharp right turn. The female driver hit Mr. Huang and others, then drove away with her friends.

Police preliminary investigation revealed that the 36-year-old Ms. Cai drove her current boyfriend and a male friend to the scene in the afternoon to negotiate with her ex-boyfriend, Mr. Huang. Several of Mr. Huang's friends were also present. During the negotiation, Ms. Cai remained in the car. Seeing an argument break out between the two parties outside the car, she immediately drove the car to intentionally ram them, causing injuries to Mr. Huang, Mr. Huang's friend Mr. Guo, and Ms. Huang, with Mr. Huang suffering a pelvic fracture.

The police stated that they have reviewed nearby surveillance footage for evidence and have identified Ms. Cai.
