(Central News Agency reporter Zhao Liyan, Taichung, 7th) A 48-year-old female hiker, surnamed Yao, went missing on May 1 while solo climbing the Zhijiayang Trail. She was originally scheduled to descend on May 3 but has not been heard from since. The Taichung City Fire Bureau has dispatched personnel for search and rescue, and a well-known mountaineering writer is also assisting by reposting missing person information on Facebook's "Vision of a Snow Ram" page.

The Taichung City Fire Bureau stated in a press release that on the 5th, they received a report from a caller stating that their friend, Ms. Yao, had gone solo climbing on the Zhijiayang Trail from May 1 to May 3. As Ms. Yao could not be contacted, the caller drove to the trailhead and found Ms. Yao's car still parked nearby, requesting assistance.

The Taichung City Fire Bureau dispatched one vehicle and four personnel from the Lishan branch. After preparation, they led a team to the accident site. Search and rescue personnel arrived at Piaodan Mountain Cabin at 5:20 PM on the 5th, where they found the missing person's mountaineering equipment and car keys. On the 6th, they searched towards the main peak of Xueshan (Snow Mountain) but found nothing. On the 7th, the first team withdrew, and the second team continued the search, but the person has not yet been found.

Huang Yuxiang, a well-known mountaineering writer and YouTuber, also assisted by reposting missing person information on his Facebook page, "Vision of a Snow Ram."

The post stated that if any friends who have hiked from Zhijiayang to Xueshan Main Peak notice any clues or abnormalities, please call the Lishan Police Station of the Heping Precinct, Taichung City Police Bureau, to report. According to information provided by Beast Runners, the missing person was likely to have encountered a group of about 7 or 8 young people camping at the old Xueshan Villa campsite between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM on May 2. If anyone knows of such a young group, please provide information. (Editor: Li Hengshan) 1150507
