Taiwan Railways Administration stated via message that at 10:41 AM today, they received a report of a fallen tree affecting the section between Shanli and Luye, causing a catenary fault and temporary service suspension. An emergency response team and an operations management team were immediately established, and power units were dispatched to the site for full-scale repairs.

Many passengers arriving at Taitung Station at noon today to catch a train discovered the railway disruption and switched to bus transfers. Lai Yen-yu, station master of Taitung Station, told the Central News Agency that the fallen tree has been removed, and repairs are expected to be completed by 3 PM.
