(Central News Agency reporter Kao Hua-chien, Taipei, 7th) The Examination Yuan announced that its 2026 budget is approximately NT$340 million, a reduction of about NT$12.96 million compared to the 2025 budget. This is mainly due to reductions in personnel expenses, etc., in line with personnel recruitment situations and the policy of not filling vacant police officer positions. The Ministry of Civil Service, on the other hand, has budgeted over NT$39.6 billion, an increase of over NT$800 million compared to the 2025 budget. This is primarily due to increased allocations to the retirement and survivor's benefit fund and the injection of savings from pension reforms into the fund.

For policy implementation and oversight, NT$6,946,000 was budgeted, a reduction of NT$13,000 compared to the 2025 budget. This is mainly due to reductions in funds for printing materials, expert attendance fees, etc.
