DPP to Launch ''Taiwan Good Life'' Rural Outreach, Cheng Li-chun Leads First Event in Kaohsiung on May 9

Cabinet members will visit various cities and counties to explain the central government''s policy achievements. The first event will kick off in Kaohsiung City on May 9, led by Vice Premier Cheng Li-chun. The DPP has also printed handbooks detailing achievements in wage increases, social welfare, and childcare for party officials to use. DPP spokesperson Wu Cheng explained today that Secretary-General Hsu Kuo-yung reported at the Central Standing Committee meeting that to assist the government in promoting policy achievements and engaging in industrial dialogue, the first ''Taiwan Good Life'' industrial briefing will be held in Kaohsiung on May 9, with subsequent events to follow. It is reported that the first event on May 9 in Kaohsiung City will be attended by Cheng Li-chun, Executive Yuan Secretary-General Chang Tun-han, and Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Peng Chin-lung. The second event is scheduled for May 16 in Taichung, focusing on industrial development policies. The third event will be held on May 17 in Chiayi County, focusing on issues such as agriculture, potatoes, and peanuts. Wu Cheng also displayed relevant promotional materials printed by the DPP, which include the government''s currently implemented new childcare system, social welfare, and care policies for various industries and ethnic groups. Regarding the opposition party''s questioning of cabinet officials participating in party activities, suspecting abuse of administrative resources, Wu Cheng stated that all related activity expenses are fully covered by the party headquarters, and invited political appointees participate during non-working hours, thus there is no issue of abusing administrative resources.
