(Central News Agency reporter Su Ssu-yun, Taipei 7th) As Taiwan enters a super-aging society, Taiwan Life announced today its cross-industry collaboration with Curves, a women's fitness brand. They aim to create a new health management and exercise model by integrating fitness facilities, insurance systems, and health services. Hsu Tung-min, Vice Chairman of Taiwan Life, stated that they hope to shift insurance functions from post-incident claims to proactive prevention, allowing individuals to age slower and be healthier.

Taiwan Life and women's fitness brand Curves (referred to as Curves) held a joint press conference today to announce the promotion of a new health management model centered on women and regular exercise.

Li Chia-jung, Chairman of Curves, stated that in the past, people might only seek treatment when sick, but the future trend is to start managing health before falling ill. This is also a core focus of President Lai's 'Healthy Taiwan' initiative. Curves is not just launching a system; it hopes to jointly create a new health model with Taiwan Life, making every exercise visible and health quantifiable, encouraging more people to start exercising.

Hsu Tung-min said that Taiwan will enter a super-aging society in 2025, and Taiwan Life had foreseen this trend, launching Taiwan's first wellness-based overflow insurance policy focusing on health management in 2017. They hope to shift the role of insurance from post-incident claims to proactive prevention and health promotion. While personal aging is inevitable, healthy behaviors can make aging slower and health greater.

In this collaboration, Curves, through its fifth-generation store's 'i Private Coach Smart Trainer System,' systematically records and tracks members' daily exercise routines, transforming each training session into quantifiable health behaviors. Taiwan Life then combines this with its women's anti-cancer product, 'Taiwan Life Feng Shou Ai Anti-Cancer Regular Health Insurance,' using an overflow mechanism to link exercise patterns and provide premium discounts, allowing exercise behaviors to translate into tangible rewards.

An overflow insurance policy is an insurance model that converts coverage into health promotion. For example, policyholders who achieve health goals set by the insurance company through exercise, healthy eating, or regular health check-ups can receive additional rewards, such as premium discounts, cash, or points.
