(Central News Agency reporter Wang Chao-yu, Keelung, 6th) DPP Keelung mayoral candidate Tung Tzu-wei today unveiled his youth employment policy, proposing equivalent local government top-ups, combined with central government subsidies, for job-seeking allowances of up to NT$36,000, and stable employment incentives of up to NT$72,000, aiming to create a衔接 mechanism through four major programs.

Tung Tzu-wei stated at a press conference this morning that the "G.O.O.D Employment Policy Plan" includes Growth (skill growth), Optimization (on-the-job evolution), Onboarding (employment connection), and Durability (stable assurance), to enable Keelung youth to find employment immediately after graduation and quickly adapt to their jobs.

Regarding skill growth, Tung Tzu-wei pointed out the focus is on establishing a "Heping Island National-level Vocational Training Base," introducing national-level courses and instructors, focusing on smart manufacturing, green power storage, cold chain logistics, marine tourism, and cultural and creative industries. The goal is to quickly cultivate immediate combat readiness, allowing young people who want to change jobs or upgrade their skills to gain expertise right in Keelung.

In terms of on-the-job evolution, Tung Tzu-wei stated that plans are to transform the former site of Shangzhi Elementary School into a "Keelung Labor University," combining the strength of labor unions to offer practical technical classes such as plumbing, catering, beauty, and marketing design, allowing employed young people to continuously enhance their competitiveness.

For employment connection, Tung Tzu-wei noted that in addition to promoting career exploration and precise matching, an "Initial Job-Seeking Allowance" will be added. Combined with central government support, it can amount to a maximum of NT$36,000, ensuring that fresh graduates no longer worry about basic living expenses while searching for ideal jobs.

Regarding stable assurance, Tung Tzu-wei stated that in addition to assisting young people in applying for central stable employment incentives, local governments will provide equivalent top-ups, with a maximum reward of NT$72,000. He aims to be the strongest support for young people, helping them see opportunities to turn their future around through substantial assistance. (Edited by Chang Ya-ching) 1150506
