Central News Agency (Reporter Tsai Meng-yu, Kaohsiung, May 6) – Kaohsiung Shoushan Zoo is launching a Mother's Day exclusive offer: women and children under 12 years old can enter for free on May 9th and 10th. Furthermore, starting May 9th, a collaborative event with Neimen Wild Forest Animal School will be launched, allowing visitors to win prizes by completing tasks at designated locations.

Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau Director Kao Min-lin stated that Shoushan Zoo has become one of the benchmark parent-child attractions in Southern Taiwan. With new lives continually welcomed by animals such as capybaras, miniature donkeys, swamp wallabies, black-bellied sheep, chinchillas, meerkats, and pikas, the zoo creates a healing and vibrant touring atmosphere.

The Tourism Bureau's press release today announced that to celebrate Mother's Day, Shoushan Zoo is offering a limited-time special: free admission for women and children under 12 on May 9th and 10th. In addition, the "World Cockroach Exhibition" is being held from today until the end of August at the "Alpaca Corridor" in the park, sparking an alternative ecological topic.

The Tourism Bureau explained that the "World Cockroach Exhibition," exhibited from today at the "Alpaca Corridor," was moved from Lanyang Zoo & Botanical Garden. It brings together unique species from around the world, including the "Rhinoceros Cockroach" from Australia, which is robust and round, with a carapace as hard as armor, and neither wings nor the ability to fly.

Also featured are the "Halloween Hissing Cockroach" from Madagascar, with distinct orange and black patterns; the "Vietnamese Metallic Cockroach" with a shimmering metallic luster all over its body; and the "Kafer Porcelain Cockroach," commonly found in Central and South America, with a smooth, translucent shell like exquisite porcelain, subverting common perceptions.

Furthermore, starting May 9th, the zoo will launch a collaborative event with Neimen Wild Forest Animal School. Visitors can use the "Kaohsiung GO!" APP to visit Shoushan Zoo and designated locations to complete tasks and participate in a prize draw. They can also collect animal knowledge cards and photo stamps in the park to exchange for exquisite gifts, enhancing the interactive touring experience.

Additionally, Shoushan Zoo's "Co-create Forest Painting" on May 17th and "Observation Sketching Tour" on May 24th are available for online reservation. Interested individuals can follow Shoushan Zoo's Facebook page. (Edited by Hsieh Ya-chu)1150506
