Preliminary police investigation found that the victim, Mr. Lee (56 years old), learned that the suspect Mr. Lee (58 years old) was dining at a restaurant on Peide Road last night. Around 8 PM, he went to the restaurant with a friend, Mr. Yang, intending to collect the outstanding debt from the suspect. Unexpectedly, during the negotiation, an argument broke out between the two parties, escalating into a physical confrontation.
During the incident, the suspect Mr. Lee used a glass bottle to cut the victim Mr. Lee's left carotid artery, causing Mr. Lee to bleed profusely on the spot. Paramedics arrived at the scene after receiving the report and urgently transported Mr. Lee to Keelung Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, for emergency treatment.
