(Central News Agency reporter Hsu Chih-wei, Taipei, May 6th) Soochow University's School of Big Data Management and Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management in the United States are launching a dual degree partnership. This collaboration will create opportunities for interdisciplinary and cross-border learning, jointly cultivating talent with global competitiveness and data literacy.
Soochow University today issued a press release stating that Soochow University and Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management have been cooperating since 2007. Initially, the dual degree program was promoted by the College of Business's International Business Management Program. To date, 37 individuals have obtained dual degrees, and the current Executive Director of Global Partnerships and Operations at Thunderbird is one of them. Currently, 7 students are enrolled in the dual degree program.
A delegation from the Thunderbird School of Global Management recently visited Soochow University. The two parties held an exchange meeting and a dual degree signing ceremony, launching the dual degree partnership between Soochow University's School of Big Data Management and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, thereby deepening their long-term partnership.
Soochow University President Jan Chien-Lung stated that this collaboration symbolizes a "strong alliance," not only expanding students' international mobility and interdisciplinary learning opportunities but also responding to the talent demands of the digital transformation and AI era. In the future, both parties will continue to deepen teaching, research, and industry-academia connections, jointly cultivating talent with global competitiveness and data literacy.
After signing the dual degree cooperation agreement between Soochow University's School of Big Data Management and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, the partnership will combine Thunderbird's leadership in global management education with Soochow's academic strengths in big data and artificial intelligence.
