The Fujian Provincial Public Security Department's Exit and Entry Administration announced on September 27, 2024, the resumption of accepting applications for Fujian residents to travel to Kinmen for individual and group tours. According to information provided by the Kinmen County Government, a cumulative total of 296,742 mainland Chinese tourists have visited Kinmen with tourist visas to date, with individual travelers accounting for 96.46%.

The Tourism Department stated in a press release that from May 1st to 5th, a total of 6,579 mainland Chinese tourists entered with tourist visas. During this period, Kinmen's accommodation market performed stably, with actual occupancy rates reaching over 60% on May 1st and 2nd, and close to 40% after May 3rd. Overall hotel performance grew by approximately 10% on average compared to the same period last year.
