(Central News Agency reporter Su Ssu-yun, Taipei, 6th) The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Hsinchu County Government, and Fubon Life today held the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Fubon Life Hukou Logistics Park." Fubon Life stated that it will employ local talent, creating nearly 800 job opportunities, and is expected to be completed in 2029. The park is anticipated to become a new highlight in the Hukou area of Hsinchu.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Hsinchu County Government, and Fubon Life today held the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Fubon Life Hukou Logistics Park." Su Wen-ling, Director-General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Agency of Commercial Development, Li An-yu, Secretary-General of Hsinchu County, and Lin Fu-hsing, Chairman of Fubon Life, attended as representatives.

Fubon Life responded to and cooperated with central and local policies, acquiring approximately 20,000 pings of land in the Hsinchu Industrial Park in April 2023. It plans to construct three large logistics park buildings, including automated warehousing, normal temperature, and cold chain uses, with a total developed logistics volume of up to 88,000 pings. The site is conveniently located 300 meters from the Hukou interchange and only 40 kilometers from Taoyuan International Airport, with completion expected in 2029.

Lin Fu-hsing, Chairman of Fubon Life, stated that Fubon Life has long been deeply committed to green finance, environmental protection, and social care, and actively participates in important public construction projects. This project adopts the BOO (Build-Own-Operate) model, a private initiative to participate in public construction, where Fubon Life provides the funding and leases it to Fubon m-commerce Co., Ltd. for operation. It is expected to become a new highlight in the Hukou area of Hsinchu.

Fubon Life pointed out that it observed the layout of Taiwan's industrial logistics strategy and the changes in consumption trends in the post-pandemic era, deciding to invest its own funds in public construction for logistics centers. This will stimulate the e-commerce commercial transaction output value, activate the job market, and strengthen the supply of logistics cold chain warehousing, balancing public interest and industrial development, creating a win-win situation for the government, insurance industry, and logistics industry.

Fubon Life stated that the smooth promotion of this case is thanks to the guidance and support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Agency of Commercial Development, which allowed the project to effectively reduce total logistics transportation carbon emissions and transportation costs through the public benefits created by the development. Through the supply of automated warehousing, it also helps e-commerce operators improve picking accuracy and operational efficiency, bringing an industry demonstration effect. It will also employ local talent, creating nearly 800 job opportunities. (Editor: Lin Ke-lun) 1150506
