BenQ Materials'' subsidiary, Cenefom, inaugurated its new Kuang Yuan plant today. Chairman Chen Chien-chih stated that the first production line is dedicated to brush rollers for semiconductor manufacturing, which have already been supplied to a major domestic memory manufacturer and sent to a foundry giant for certification. The new plant also maintains medical device lines producing insulin injection flow regulators, which hold the 3rd largest global market share. Cenefom introduced its Advanced PVA Air-formed Brush Roller, designed as a critical cleaning consumable for post-CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) processes. Utilizing "ultra-clean" and "air-formed" core technologies, the product achieves zero starch residue and the industry''s lowest metal and liquid particle detection, meeting the extreme cleanliness requirements of sub-2nm advanced processes. General Manager Hsu Chen-ping noted that the investment in land, factory, and the first line totaled approximately NT$600 million, with a total of six lines planned based on demand. The company targets NT$200 million in revenue this year, expecting to turn profitable in the second half. Beyond brush rollers, Cenefom is leveraging BenQ Materials'' core competencies to develop semiconductor film materials, with small shipments of dicing tape already underway. The products also offer superior energy and water efficiency, reducing daily water usage by approximately 12%, aligning with green manufacturing goals.
