(Central News Agency reporter Cao Ya-yan, New Taipei, May 6) Airiti Clinic's New Taipei Banqiao branch was recently suspected of having a pinhole camera hidden in a smoke detector. New Taipei prosecutors and police conducted a second search of four branches in New Taipei this morning and detained Airiti Group President Chang Ju-shan in Taipei City, who was then transferred to the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office for further questioning this afternoon.

A few days ago, a netizen reported that while undergoing body sculpting at Airiti Medical Aesthetics Clinic's Banqiao branch, she noticed an unknown device in the corner of the ceiling that appeared to be a camera while changing clothes in the consultation room. Clinic staff insisted it was a smoke detector. After the woman reported it to the police, officers arrived and dismantled the device, confirming there was a camera inside. Subsequently, an investigation was launched on suspicion of privacy violation.

The New Taipei District Prosecutors Office had previously instructed police to search several branches and brought in an equipment supplier named Xie for questioning, who was later released without bail. This morning, prosecutors and police once again split into multiple teams to search Airiti Clinic's Banqiao, Xinzhuang, Linkou, and Yonghe branches, and again brought in the equipment supplier named Xie.

Prosecutors and police also detained Airiti Group President Chang Ju-shan at an office in Taipei City, who was then sent to the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office for further questioning this afternoon. The entire case is being investigated on suspicions of sexual privacy violation, privacy infringement, and other offenses. (Editor: Lin Shu-hui) 1150506
