Central News Agency (CNA) Correspondent Chiang Ming-yen, Taipei, 6th) AIDC stated that it is committed to 'smart manufacturing', and its Gangshan plant, specializing in aero engine manufacturing, has achieved energy saving and carbon reduction even in a high energy consumption environment. The plant has implemented ice water cooling integration, variable frequency and voltage control, and built its fourth phase of solar power.

AIDC today issued a press release stating that its Gangshan Aero Engine Business Division, which won the Ministry of Economic Affairs' 'Energy Saving Benchmark Award - Gold Award' last year, held the '115th Energy Saving Benchmark Observation Seminar' at AIDC's Gangshan plant last week to promote government policies and share its net-zero transformation achievements with the industry.

AIDC stated that its Gangshan plant, specializing in aero engine manufacturing, has been able to break through limitations and achieve results in the field of energy saving and carbon reduction even in a high energy consumption environment. AIDC is committed to 'smart manufacturing' and has autonomously built multi-functional smart energy management systems, including power monitoring, solar power generation management, and energy performance measurement, over many years. It has successively implemented these in various plants, and at this stage, it has further introduced AI to precisely enhance energy saving efficiency.

AIDC pointed out that the Gangshan plant has also implemented measures such as ice water cooling integration, variable frequency and voltage control, and the establishment of its fourth phase of solar power.

AIDC stated that technological innovation has brought tangible results, including a year-on-year decrease in product unit energy consumption, an annual electricity saving of 2.2 million kilowatt-hours, a reduction of over 1,046 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, creating energy saving benefits exceeding NT$8.84 million.

AIDC President Chuang Hsiu-mei stated that implementing energy saving and carbon reduction and corporate ESG is a long-term project. In the past four years, AIDC has successively nominated its Shalu and Gangshan plants to participate in the energy saving benchmark selection, accumulating 'one gold and three silver' recognitions from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
