(Central News Agency reporter Wu Chia-hao, Taipei, 6th) Industrial PC manufacturer Advantech held an investor conference today, where its management team estimated that Q2 revenue this year will reach US$650 million to US$670 million (approximately NT$20.475 billion to NT$21.105 billion), a single-digit increase quarter-on-quarter. Advantech's book-to-bill ratio (B/B ratio) in April exceeded 1.5, indicating strong revenue momentum and sustained demand.
Advantech CFO and General Manager of Integrated Operations Management, Chen Ching-hsi, stated that despite the global supply chain still being affected by delivery times for specific components, Advantech has clear visibility of its order backlog, with accumulated orders exceeding US$1.3 billion that will definitely be delivered by the end of this year.
He said that Advantech performed outstandingly in the North American market in Q1, with a B/B value as high as 2.37, mainly driven by medical, semiconductor equipment, network security, and enterprise services.
In terms of technology layout, Chen Ching-hsi pointed out that Advantech plans to establish an enterprise-grade artificial intelligence (AI) agent environment by the end of July this year to optimize internal sales, R&D, and manufacturing processes. At the same time, it will deepen its integration with NVIDIA in robot functional safety and the new Jetson platform, targeting new growth drivers in smart grid and high-bandwidth memory (HBM) related equipment.
