The Ministry of Economic Affairs pointed out in a press release that in this competition, Genexine Biomedical won first place globally in the Health Tech category and will continue to compete for the cross-domain global startup champion. In defense technology, Black Solution won second place globally, Won Energy Technology also won second place globally in energy technology, and in open technology, Union Intelligent Biomedical and Zelong Intelligent won second and third place globally, respectively.

Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-Hsin, when interacting with startup teams before the competition, stated that Taiwan has been the country with the most shortlisted teams in the SelectUSA startup competition for three consecutive years, demonstrating the long-term results of the government's promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship. He encouraged the teams to seize the opportunity to expand into the U.S. market and, through international resources and cooperation models, drive industrial upgrading to form a positive cycle of "global layout, feedback to Taiwan."

The Ministry of Economic Affairs explained that this year, Taiwan's delegation was the largest globally, with a total of 8 startups selected among the top 8 globally in four major fields: health technology, defense technology, energy technology, and open technology.

In addition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that the SelectUSA Investment Summit opened on the 4th, U.S. Eastern Time, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs also held a "Taiwan Startup Night" in Washington D.C. to promote U.S.-Taiwan innovation exchange and interact with nearly a hundred corporate and venture capital representatives from Washington D.C. to help Taiwanese startups expand into the U.S. market and deepen U.S.-Taiwan economic and trade ties.
