According to statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, cumulative stock accounts reached a record high of 14,200,794 in April, an increase of 98,558 from the previous month, after first surpassing the 14-million milestone in March. Further analysis of the age distribution reveals that the 20-30 age group saw the largest growth with 29,289 new accounts, followed by those under 19 with 25,217. In total, investors under 30 accounted for 54,506 new accounts, or 55% of April''s total growth, indicating a continuing trend toward a younger investor base in the Taiwan stock market.
