(Central News Agency, Penghu County, May 5) Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) donated NT$870,000 to Penghu's education assistance program scholarships, benefiting 174 elementary and junior high school students across the county. Penghu County Deputy Magistrate Lin Chieh-hsing today presented awards to 12 children at Magong Elementary School and encouraged them to learn happily and bravely pursue their dreams.

Lin Chieh-hsing attended the scholarship award ceremony for Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation's education assistance program this afternoon, thanking TDCC for its support of Penghu's education and encouraging the scholarship recipients to study hard, hoping they will repay this kindness and contribute to society when they are capable.

Lin Chieh-hsing stated that TDCC is an important back-office institution in Taiwan's financial market, adhering to the spirit of "taking from society, using for society," reaching every corner of Taiwan. Through corporate resource injection, it has launched diverse educational development for schools in remote island areas of Penghu, cultivating future elites for the nation.

The County Government's Education Department stated that TDCC donated NT$2 million to Penghu County in 2024, which is used annually for public welfare in the education assistance program. It also held the "All People Support Baseball Public Welfare Activity," injecting baseball training resources into Penghu's Jiangmei Elementary School and allowing close interaction with Rakuten Monkeys professional players and watching Chinese Professional Baseball League games.

In addition, this year, scholarships and grants were awarded, benefiting 174 students across Penghu County's elementary and junior high schools. Among them, 12 students from Magong Elementary School received awards, accompanied by Principal Wang Wen-jui, on the school's rostrum today, each receiving NT$5,000. The remaining elementary and junior high schools will have the awards transferred by the Education Department. (Editor: Li Shu-hua) 1150505
