President Lai: Taiwanese have the right to go out into the world after returning from Eswatini

(Central News Agency reporter Gao Huaqian, Ye Suping, Taipei, May 5) President Lai concluded his visit to diplomatic ally Eswatini and delivered a speech today, stating that although the trip was once obstructed, it instead allowed the world to see the Taiwanese people's firm determination and will to go out into the world; "Taiwan belongs to the world, Taiwanese are global citizens, and Taiwanese have the right to go out into the world." President Lai was originally scheduled to visit Eswatini on April 22, but the trip was postponed due to Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar, three African countries, unexpectedly and without warning canceling flight permits for the special plane. However, the Presidential Office immediately restarted the visit, and President Lai posted on Facebook on the evening of May 2, saying, "I arrived in diplomatic ally Eswatini a little while ago."
