According to a written statement from Keelung City Government Deputy Spokesperson Chung Ming, Hsieh Kuo-liang had been suffering from Influenza B for two weeks without recovery, and his symptoms worsened, leading to his hospitalization at Taipei Veterans General Hospital.
Tseng Shu-hui, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Centers for Disease Control (CDC), explained to the media today that the domestic epidemic shows a downward trend.
