According to an Oct. 5 report by Xinhua News Agency, the explosion at "Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Blasting Co., Ltd." in Liuyang, which is administered by Changsha City, Hunan Province, mainland China, caused 26 deaths and 61 injuries as of noon on Oct. 5. All fireworks and firecracker manufacturing companies in Liuyang City have been ordered to halt production for rectification.
