Residents of Wang Fuk Court in Hong Kong, where a massive fire killed 168 people last November, have petitioned for a special owners'' meeting to discuss inspection reports and future plans. According to a report by Ming Pao today, 12.45% (247 households) of the owners submitted a written petition to the estate''s manager, Ho On Property Management Co., Ltd., requesting the meeting. The petition highlights the need to discuss estate management, financial transparency, engineering progress, insurance arrangements, contracts, the building inspection report, and long-term settlement directions. The fire occurred on November 26, 2025, in Tai Po, New Territories, affecting six of the seven buildings in the estate. It was Hong Kong''s deadliest fire since 1948. The government has completed the process of allowing residents to retrieve their belongings and is now focusing on long-term housing solutions, including property buyouts or ''flat-for-flat'' resettlement options.
