(Central News Agency reporter Huang Li-chen, Taipei, 5th) Following the recent discovery of a pinhole camera hidden in a smoke detector at Aierli Clinic's New Taipei Banqiao branch, the Taipei City Government today conducted unannounced joint inspections of its four branches located in Taipei City. It is reported that Taipei police did not find any surveillance cameras or illegal activities.

The Taipei City Government stated that it highly values citizens' medical privacy and has instructed the Department of Health, in conjunction with the Criminal Investigation Division and consumer protection officers, to conduct unannounced joint inspections of Aierli Group's chain brand branches in Taipei City today, in accordance with the Medical Care Act, the Taipei City Public Places Pinhole Camera Prevention and Management Regulations, and other relevant regulations.

It is understood that after the police conducted anti-pinhole detection and searched four branches in Taipei (Zhongshan District, Xinyi District, Daan District, Zhongzheng District), no disguised pinhole cameras or illegal activities were found on site.

Regarding the alleged illegalities involving Aierli Clinic, the entire case is currently under investigation by the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 1150505
