4 New Bus Routes for Danjiang Bridge: Trial Starts May 13, Reservations Open Now for NT

Central News Agency (Reporter Wang Hung-kuo, New Taipei, 5th) The New Taipei City Transportation Department, in coordination with the opening of the Danjiang Bridge, has launched four new bus routes: 988 Banqiao Express, 989 Airport Express, 990 Airport Express, and 115 Tamsui-Bali Sightseeing Bus. Trial operations will begin on May 13, and online reservations are open starting today with a special experience price of NT per trip. Section Chief Hsu Yuan-chi stated that the trial aims to help drivers familiarize themselves with the routes and schedules while gathering feedback on efficiency, stops, and passenger comfort to optimize the service before official launch. The 988 Banqiao Express will run four daily shifts between Danhai New Town and Banqiao Bus Station. The 115 Sightseeing Bus will operate Friday through Sunday with three daily shifts. The 989 and 990 Airport Express routes will each provide six daily round-trip shifts connecting Tamsui and Danhai to Taoyuan International Airport. Trial operations run from May 13 to June 10. Passengers can book through the ''Leapfrog Bus Platform'' app until 10:30 PM the night before departure. Capacity is limited to 34 passengers for express routes and 18 for the sightseeing route. Reservations can be verified via the app''s ticket screen during boarding.
