(Central News Agency reporter Pan Chih-yi, Taipei, 4th) Tatung Company's energy service business, Tatung Smart, announced the signing of a green power purchase cooperation agreement with printing factory Shirsha Technology. The two parties will work together to promote corporate energy transition and sustainable development, and will introduce diverse solutions in the future to reduce carbon emissions and improve overall energy utilization efficiency.

Tatung pointed out that in February this year, the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced a draft regulation on energy users conducting energy-saving diagnostics and formulating energy-saving plans. This regulation stipulates that large energy users should introduce professional energy-saving diagnostic teams to help identify pain points and propose improvement solutions. They must also plan medium- and long-term energy-saving plans based on diagnostic reports before the first quarter of 2028, and implement energy-saving measures year by year. Tatung Smart will seize corporate energy transition business opportunities with its expertise in energy saving and renewable energy integration.

Shirsha Technology, headquartered in Taichung City, is a long-established listed printing company, deeply committed to packaging and paper product printing. It implements environmental sustainability concepts in its processes, prioritizing environmentally friendly materials to reduce environmental impact. In recent years, it has actively engaged in energy transition, gradually introducing green electricity and related energy-saving measures, moving towards low-carbon operational development.

Tatung stated that according to Article 22 of Taichung City's Self-Government Ordinance for Developing a Low-Carbon City, large electricity consumers with contract capacities of 800 kilowatts or more must install a certain proportion of renewable energy. The integration of technologies such as energy creation, energy storage, energy saving, and energy utilization, coupled with visualized energy management, can assist enterprises in meeting regulatory requirements while also achieving low-carbon transformation.

Tatung Smart specializes in smart energy integration and value-added professional services, including solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), operation and maintenance, charging piles, behind-the-meter energy storage, and home energy storage. It also provides enterprises with one-stop sustainable energy solutions. Among these, its solar projects have accumulated 1,585 sites with a total installed capacity of 330MW, generating approximately 420 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, and an energy storage installation capacity of 122MW. It also holds dual licenses for power generation and electricity sales. (Editor: Chang Chun-mao)1150504
