(Central News Agency reporter Zhang Jianzhong, Hsinchu, 4th) RF (radio frequency) chip manufacturer Richwave Technology expects its second-half revenue to outperform the first half, with this year's revenue growing by double digits, and WiFi 7 specification product shipments expected to double.

Richwave held an online investor conference this afternoon to explain its Q1 operating results. Richwave's Q1 revenue was NT$930 million, a 2% decrease quarter-on-quarter. Gross margin was 33%, a 6 percentage point decline from Q4 2025. Net profit after tax was NT$53.5 million, a 55% decrease quarter-on-quarter, with earnings per share at NT$0.58.

Looking ahead, Huang Chih-Chieh, Vice President of Richwave's Business Marketing Department, stated that rising raw material prices like memory have affected the visibility of orders in the networking market. However, he anticipates that with the continuous progress of new projects, second-half revenue is expected to be better than the first half, and total revenue for the year will still achieve double-digit growth.

Huang Chih-Chieh explained that the Q1 gross margin was affected by an unfavorable product mix. Richwave has no plans to increase product prices and will boost gross margins through cost reduction, expanding economies of scale, and improving production efficiency.

Huang Chih-Chieh said that telecom operators are actively promoting WiFi 7 specifications, and he expects WiFi 7 penetration to exceed half this year, with Richwave's WiFi 7 specification product shipments expected to double. (Edited by Lin Chia-Hsien) 1150504
