(Central News Agency reporter Xu Zaiwei, Taipei, 4th) The Ministry of Education is promoting the "AI Di+ Experimental Program" project, introducing AI learning companions to assist. University students will help elementary and middle school students cultivate independent learning abilities, and through the support of digital learning resources, practice the "Slow AI" spirit.
The Ministry of Education today issued a press release stating that in response to the rapid development of the artificial intelligence (AI) era, the Ministry of Education is promoting the "AI Di+ Experimental Program" project this year. Through demand exploration, resource integration, and online digital teaching tools, it trains university students to apply information tools and digital learning resources in teaching, and through AI learning partners, enhances elementary and middle school students' digital independent learning abilities and digital literacy.
Today, the Ministry of Education held a national working conference for the project at the Tainan Cultural and Creative Industries Park, attended by representatives from 16 universities and 185 elementary and middle schools. In addition to explaining the project implementation model, Professor Li Zhengxuan of Taichung University of Education was invited to share a special topic on the InCaiWang AI learning companion, hoping to eliminate the urban-rural learning gap through AI learning companion assisted learning.
Professor Gao Taixi, project host of the AI DI+ Experimental Program Operations Center, stated that in addition to universities recruiting and combining the energy of teacher education students, in terms of teaching strategy, it encourages the use of the Ministry of Education's InCaiWang learning companion and digital tools for lesson preparation, training young students for independent learning, gradually building a learning environment where students generally possess digital learning abilities and dedicated digital devices, creating a cultivation mechanism for AI-integrated teaching.
Associate Professor Jian Yazhen of Taipei Education University believes that the Ministry of Education's promotion of this project has forward-looking and innovative significance. In the next two years, the university will integrate its teacher education, digital learning, and administrative support capabilities to strengthen the "university companion" digital teaching training mechanism, assisting teacher education students in utilizing AI tools and combining digital learning resources such as InCaiWang and Cool English Network to support elementary and middle school students in cultivating independent learning abilities.
