The Kinmen County Sports Development Center held a press conference today for the "2026 23rd Kinmen Open Water Swim and 13th Kinmen-Xiamen Swim" event, hosted by Kinmen County Deputy Magistrate Li Wen-liang. Kinmen County Education Department Director Huang Ya-fen, Tourism Department Deputy Director Tsai Chan-cheng, Kinmen County Sports Development Center Director Wang Chih-jen, and Kinmen Sports Association Chairman Ou-yang Yi-hsiung all attended the unveiling.
Li Wen-liang stated in his speech that the Kinmen-Xiamen Swim has entered its 13th year, and next year will be its 14th, which perfectly aligns with the belief of managing this event well for "1314," symbolizing "one life, one generation." The Kinmen Open Water Swim represents a historical transformation in Kinmen's waters, while the Kinmen-Xiamen Swim serves as a platform for peaceful competition in cross-strait marine sports.
