(Central News Agency reporter Tsai Meng-yu, Kaohsiung, 4th) The Ruilong Day Care and Public Childcare Center in Qianzhen District, Kaohsiung City, is one of the important constructions for implementing the "Long-term Care Ten-Year Plan 2.0." The City Public Works Bureau announced today that the project has already broken ground and will become a hub for long-term care and childcare services in southern Kaohsiung in the future.

The Ruilong Day Care and Public Childcare Center is located at the intersection of Ruilong Road and Baotai Road, close to National Highway No. 1 interchange, bus transfer stations, and various schools, offering convenient transportation and complete living functions. The project has already broken ground.

The Kaohsiung City Public Works Bureau's New Construction Office stated in a press release today that the Ruilong Day Care and Public Childcare Center is one of the important constructions for implementing the "Long-term Care Ten-Year Plan 2.0." It specifically introduces medical resources, with the Municipal Minsheng Hospital assisting in planning, design, and operation, strengthening the integration of medical and care functions.

The New Construction Office pointed out that the project involves demolishing old buildings and rebuilding on the original site. It is planned as a 4-story building, with public childcare centers on the 1st and 2nd floors, and day care centers on the 3rd and 4th floors, with a total cost of approximately NT$86.2 million.

In addition, the space design takes into account the needs of different age groups, planning children's play areas, safe care spaces, and cognitive training and health promotion areas for the elderly, creating a high-quality, all-age inclusive care environment.

The New Construction Office stated that the Ruilong Day Care and Public Childcare Center is not only an infrastructure project but also an important symbol of urban governance upgrading. In the future, this base will form a multi-point connection with the Day Care and Public Childcare Center in Qianzhen District's 70th phase urban redevelopment area, upgrading from a single base to a regional care network and expanding service capacity.
