Today, the Legislative Yuan's Transportation Committee reviewed the 2026 budget proposals for the National Transportation Safety Council and Chunghwa Post. Many legislators raised concerns about Chunghwa Post's personnel shortage problem. While the budgeted headcount is 27,496, the actual number of employees as of 2025 was only 25,104. Furthermore, 1,310 employees resigned last year, and only 1,040 new personnel were hired, indicating a personnel shortage of approximately 3,000 people.

In response, Wang Kuo-tsai stated that Chunghwa Post's parcel business volume grew by 20% in March this year, and the overall express parcel volume grew by 27%. Regarding the personnel issue, recruitment has been ongoing; improvement measures for the personnel shortage and issues like employee leave subsidies will be proposed within one month.
