Mr. Gao and Mr. Weng's co-passenger husband were also injured.
The Changhua County Fire Department received a report around 4 AM. Upon arrival of rescue personnel, Mr. Wu was found lying on the motorcycle lane with severe injuries, having lost vital signs on the scene, and later died after being sent to the hospital.
Mr. Weng, the driver, and Mr. Shi, the co-passenger, were trapped in the sedan. Firefighters used extrication equipment to help them get out. Mr. Weng had no breathing or heartbeat when rescued.
