(Central News Agency reporter Chung Jung-feng, Taipei on May 3rd) Semiconductor test interface manufacturer MPI Corporation today announced its consolidated revenue for April, which for the first time exceeded NT$500 million, reaching NT$523 million, a 7.3% month-on-month increase and a 30.2% growth compared to April 2025. Cumulative consolidated revenue for the first four months of this year reached NT$1.881 billion, a 21% year-on-year increase, also setting a new historical record.
MPI Corporation explained that the main growth momentum for April's revenue came from the testing demands driven by artificial intelligence (AI) chip applications. The performance enhancement of global next-generation AI chips has significantly increased the technical difficulty of corresponding test interfaces, leading to a substantial increase in shipments of High-Performance Computing (HPC) related test interface products.
Looking ahead, MPI Corporation stated that it is actively deploying AI-related applications for test interfaces such as BIB (Burn-in Board) and SLTB (System Level Test Board), and has initiated validation planning. In terms of R&D, it continues to strengthen test interface technology solutions for high-speed signals, high power, thermal dissipation, and large sizes.
Regarding the layout of its Taoyuan Plant 3, MPI Corporation pointed out that it is accelerating the construction progress of Plant 3 and the establishment of leased factories to increase production scale and meet customer capacity demands for the second half of this year.
MPI Corporation previously projected clear quarterly growth for this year's performance, expecting production capacity to double by the end of August, but capacity will still be insufficient. Expansion plans are continuously being evaluated for the first half of 2027.
MPI Corporation's board of directors previously resolved to approve a budget increase plan for the new Plant 3, adding NT$499.4 million, bringing the total budget to NT$2.5064 billion. Including land and equipment costs, the total investment is expected to increase to NT$4.087 billion. (Edited by Su Chih-tsung) 1150503
