According to statistics from the Freeway Bureau, the average traffic volume from 0:00 to 5:00 AM today was 5.2 million vehicle-kilometers, which is 1.3 times the annual average weekday (4.0 million vehicle-kilometers). The estimated traffic volume for today is 110 million vehicle-kilometers.
The Freeway Bureau pointed out that currently, all national road conditions are generally normal. As of 7 AM, the traffic volume was 8.1 million vehicle-kilometers. The key congested section expected this morning is National Freeway 5 northbound from Yilan to Pinglin. For northbound drivers on western national freeways, it is recommended for those from the southern region to depart before 9 AM, and from the central region before 12 PM. For northbound drivers on National Freeway 5, it is advisable to depart before 9 AM.
