(Central News Agency, Jerusalem, 3rd, Comprehensive Foreign Report) Israel's Ministry of Defense announced today that its ministerial procurement committee has approved a military procurement case to acquire F-35 and F-15IA advanced fighter jets for two new squadrons from US-based Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
Reuters reported that Israel's Ministry of Defense pointed out that this is an initial phase of a 350 billion Shekel (Israeli currency unit), approximately 119 billion US dollar, military strengthening plan, aimed at reinforcing Israel's military power and enhancing its readiness for severe security challenges in the coming decade.
