(Central News Agency reporter Hung Su-Ching, Taipei, May 3rd) Actor Chou Hou-An plays two states, 'human' and 'darkened monster,' in the movie "Mr. Monster in the Dungeon." He is sometimes calm, sometimes out of control, accompanied by eerie smiles and distorted movements. A dragging scene saw him crash into concrete, but fortunately, he was not injured.

The monster survival genre film "Mr. Monster in the Dungeon" is directed by Hung Sheng-Yang, known for "A Promise of a Thousand Miles." Yang Yi-Chan takes on the dual roles of producer and lead actor for the first time, starring alongside Chou Hou-An and Xia Long. Today, the film released its trailer, revealing Chou Hou-An's significant acting breakthrough, portraying 'human' and 'darkened monster' states, pulling back and forth in extreme transformations, presenting a strong contrast.

To depict the process of being eroded and possessed by a monster, Chou Hou-An fully interprets the character's out-of-control state, from nerves and muscles to body language. He further precisely distinguishes between the two personalities through eye contact and movement details. Chou Hou-An stated, "The most difficult part of playing two roles is how to manage the connection points when both characters are speaking on screen simultaneously." Through long hours of rehearsal, fine-tuning, and repeated experimentation, Chou Hou-An gradually grasped the rhythm of transformation, completing this highly challenging performance.

In the film, in addition to Chou Hou-An's psychological transformations, the action sequences are also in full swing. Chou Hou-An revealed that during one dragging scene, where he was caught and pulled by Mr. Monster, due to the high-speed pull of the wire, he slid out of control and directly hit a concrete structure. "At that moment, I couldn't stop at all, my leg went straight into it," he said, fortunately without serious injury.

Yang Yi-Chan, who is both producer and actor, shared that due to the dark environment and heavy equipment on set, the choreography pace was intensive. "Everyone fought fiercely for realism, but mistakes are inevitable." He promptly switched to his producer role, assisting with on-site situations, and ultimately completed the filming smoothly.
