According to the latest information from the Central Weather Administration, this magnitude 6.1 earthquake had a depth of 98.3 kilometers, with its epicenter located 38.7 kilometers northeast of the Yilan County Government (in the eastern waters of Taiwan). The maximum intensity was level 4 in Yilan County, Hsinchu County, Nantou County, and Hualien County.
