Ko Wen-je, accompanied by Chiu Chen-yuan, chairman of the TPP's Hsinchu party headquarters, campaigned today with candidates from Hsinchu County and City. In the morning, they distributed carnations at Tianhou Temple in Zhubei, Hsinchu County, and visited markets in Hukou and Xinfeng. In the afternoon, they participated in a Mother's Day event organized by the TPP's Hsinchu party headquarters, interacting with local communities.
Regarding the method of cooperation between the blue and white parties, Ko Wen-je stated in an interview with the media that it should be handled at the central level of both parties, including Hsinchu County, Zhubei City, Hsinchu City, and Miaoli County, and that a regional integration plan is needed. The details will be coordinated and arranged by party chairman Huang Kuo-chang and others.
The TPP intends to contend for the nomination of candidates for Zhubei Mayor, including Chiu Chen-yuan and Lin Shuo-yen, a TPP county councilor from Hsinchu County. Chiu Chen-yuan said on site that he respects the party's central nomination mechanism; Lin Shuo-yen stated that the candidate selection will be negotiated by the party's central committee and a transparent mechanism will be established.
Regarding Ko Wen-je and Huang Kuo-chang's recent live broadcast setting a goal of raising NT$10 million, Ko Wen-je stated that the TPP is small in scale and has limited resources, so it must rely on small donations to support its election campaigns.
He said that even if the TPP faces insufficient resources or external doubts, it will ensure the smooth progress of the election campaign through various methods and will make its utmost efforts in the election.
When asked by reporters about the appeal by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, Ko Wen-je stated that the prosecutors were acting on orders.
Regarding Han Kuo-yu's military procurement issue, Ko Wen-je said that everyone has the right to express their views on Taiwan's affairs, and he will not question Han Kuo-yu's motives, believing that his starting point is to hope for a better Taiwan, and there is no need to overly criticize different opinions.
