According to NHK, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department explained that on April 29th, the suspect allegedly used a hammer-like object to repeatedly strike the faces of two high school students on the premises of a restaurant in Fussa City.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department also stated that after attacking the two high school students, the suspect allegedly threatened police officers who arrived at the scene with a knife and sprayed them with a liquid from an agricultural sprayer, resulting in minor to serious injuries to the two high school students and three police officers.

The police also noted that shortly after the incident, the suspect allegedly fled through the back door of his home. The police then issued a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempting to murder the high school students and tracked him down, arresting him today after 4 PM in an apartment room in Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture.
