Unexpectedly, the driver accelerated and fled. When intercepted again later, the driver directly crashed into a police officer. The officer fired 3 warning shots, but the vehicle still managed to escape. Police are currently pursuing the suspect.

Liao Chih-hao, deputy chief of the Wenshan Police Station of the Kaohsiung City Police Department's Fengshan Precinct, and police officer Chen Chia-tse were on duty today at around 5 PM at the intersection of Jian-guo Road Section 3 and Wen-chang Road in Fengshan District. They saw a rented car driver not wearing a seatbelt and signaled him to pull over for inspection according to law. Unexpectedly, the driver refused to cooperate and accelerated away.

The officers then began to follow and monitor. When they intercepted the vehicle again later in front of No. 333-1 Shennong Road, Niaosong District, the car driver suddenly accelerated and crashed into Liao Chih-hao, creating a critical situation.
