(Tainan, May 1st, Central News Agency reporter Chang Jung-hsiang) The Ssu-Tien Hsing-Chi Temple in North District, Tainan City, a municipal-designated monument, today welcomed back a Baosheng Dadi deity statue that had been away for over 100 years. This statue was originally taken by the family of former Tainan Mayor Hsin Wen-ping from the Hsing-Chi Temple to be worshipped at home. After its return to the ancestral temple, it will be enshrined in the main hall.

Ssu-Tien Hsing-Chi Temple held the "Hsin Family Baosheng Dadi Return and Sacred Illumination Ceremony" this morning. The Taoist priest presided over the "Sacred Illumination" ritual to re-energize the spiritual light.

Hsing-Chi Temple told the Central News Agency reporter that in earlier years, those who invited Baosheng Dadi from Hsing-Chi Temple to worship at home were mostly local gentry or affluent families.

However, many Hsin family members now reside overseas. After being worshipped by the Hsin family for over 100 years, this statue was sent back to Hsing-Chi Temple for "Sacred Illumination," symbolizing the continuation of a century-old bond of faith.

The temple stated that according to Hsin Wen-ping's sister, Hsin Yung-ching's record in her book "The Delicious Times of Fucheng: Tainan Anxian Garden's Dining Table," this statue has accompanied the Hsin family through generations, safeguarding their descendants' peaceful growth, and has become an important spiritual sustenance for the family.
