The Ministry of Transportation and Communications' DGH issued a press release stating that as of 3 PM, some sections of provincial highways and expressways experienced heavy traffic or congestion, including Provincial Highway 2 from Fulong to Longmen Bridge, Dawulun to Waiwumu Mountain, and Provincial Highway 15 from Bali to Guandu Bridge.
Other congested areas included Provincial Highway 62 from Qidu to Anle, Provincial Highway 65 from Tucheng to National Freeway 3, Provincial Highway 61 from Fengbi to Zhugang Bridge and Zhunan to Xuanbao Bridge, Provincial Highway 1 from Fangliao to Fangshan and Shuidiliao to Jiahe, and Provincial Highway 9 from Xinlu.

To meet the public's needs for returning home and traveling, the DGH stated that it has coordinated with bus operators to prepare sufficient capacity and flexibly add services based on demand, and has supervised operators to ensure the safe preparation of personnel and vehicles.
As of 12 PM, according to DGH statistics, westbound national highway buses operated a total of 2,207 services, transporting 41,055 people; eastbound national highway buses operated 602 services, transporting 12,738 people.
The DGH points out that based on current ticket pre-sale conditions, westbound national highway buses still have about 63% vacant seats, and eastbound national highway buses have 76% vacant seats, with ticket discounts offered.
