(Central News Agency, Taipei, 30th) According to Chinese official media reports, China's lead person for US-China economic and trade affairs, Vice Premier He Lifeng, held a video call tonight with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. He Lifeng stated that China expressed serious concerns over recent U.S. economic and trade restrictive measures against China.

The Trump-Xi meeting is expected to take place in Beijing in mid-May. After the meeting between the US and Chinese leaders in Busan, South Korea, on October 30 last year, although a mechanism for continuous consultation was established, many economic and trade frictions have increased in the past six months.

CCTV News reported that He Lifeng held a video call with Bessent and Greer on the evening of the 30th. Both sides focused on implementing the important consensus reached during the Busan meeting and previous calls between the heads of state of China and the United States, and conducted "frank, in-depth, and constructive exchanges on further properly resolving economic and trade issues of mutual concern and expanding practical cooperation."

The report stated that China expressed serious concerns over recent U.S. economic and trade restrictive measures against China.
