Union Prepares for Strike, Samsung Electronics: Will Do Utmost to Avoid Production Disruption

It also emphasized that even if a strike occurs, it will prevent impact through dedicated organizations and response systems within legal limits.

According to a report by Yonhap News Agency today, Park Soon-chul, Executive Vice President and CFO of Samsung Electronics, stated during the Q1 earnings briefing, "Even if a strike occurs, we will prevent production from being affected within legal limits through dedicated organizations and response systems."

Park Soon-chul emphasized, "Regarding labor-management issues, we are honestly responding in accordance with laws and procedures, and we will prioritize dialogue with the labor union to seek a satisfactory resolution." Regarding bonuses, Park Soon-chul pointed out that negotiations are currently ongoing between labor and management, and the specific payment amount has not yet been determined. "This quarter's financial report has not yet reflected it, and the amount (of bonuses) to be allocated in Q2 will be decided based on the negotiation results."
