Taipei Police to Deploy Officers Early to 100 Key Intersections for Labor Day Holiday Traffic Control

Central News Agency (Reporter Huang Lizhen, Taipei, 30th) - In response to the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the Taipei City Police Department stated that officers will be deployed early, starting at 4 PM today, to 100 key intersections, including Zhongshan North Road and Zhongxiao West Road, for traffic control. Officers will be deployed to other intersections from 4:30 PM, and drivers are requested to cooperate with the instructions of police officers and volunteer traffic assistants.

The Taipei City Police Department's Traffic Police Brigade stated in a press release that the Labor Day holiday will be from May 1st to 3rd. To maintain smooth traffic flow and order, relevant traffic control duties have been specially planned.

Firstly, today, officers will be deployed early at 4 PM to 100 key intersections, including Zhongshan North Road and Zhongxiao West Road, for traffic control. Officers will be deployed to other intersections from 4:30 PM, and drivers are requested to cooperate with the instructions of police officers and volunteer traffic assistants.

Secondly, for various tourist attractions within Taipei City, including Yangmingshan, Shilin Official Residence, Children's Amusement Park, Muzha Zoo, and Baishihu, as well as major department stores (malls) and other commercial districts with complex traffic, additional traffic control posts will be set up to prevent traffic congestion from affecting the public's holiday travel enjoyment.

The Traffic Police Brigade reminds the public that for those planning to visit tourist attractions such as Yangmingshan, Shilin Official Residence, Children's Amusement Park, Muzha Zoo, and Baishihu, or major department stores (malls) during (or before) the Labor Day holiday, please try to use public transportation or shuttle buses to avoid delays.
