(Central News Agency reporter Huang Li-chen, Taipei 30th) A fire broke out today in a tin house on Heping East Road, Section 3, Xinyi District, Taipei City. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and rescued a 60-year-old male tenant, Mr. Jiang, who was found collapsed in the indoor passage. He was already charred and showed no signs of life when rescued. The cause of the fire awaits further investigation. The fire was extinguished at 2:19 PM. It is understood that the deceased, Mr. Jiang, usually rented and lived here with his wife. His wife was out at the time of the incident. The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation.
