(Central News Agency, Taipei, April 30) Yi Huiman, former chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), who was investigated and removed from office last September, was today given the "Shuangkai" (expulsion from party membership and public office) disciplinary action. He was accused of "feigning compliance while secretly opposing, and shirking responsibility" regarding the Party Central Committee's major decisions and deployments concerning the capital market, condoning relatives to seek private gain, engaging in power-for-sex and power-for-money transactions, and illegally accepting huge amounts of property in areas such as IPO approvals.

Yi Huiman took over as chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in January 2019. He was dismissed in February 2024 amidst a continuous decline in the mainland stock market, and in June of the same year, he was transferred to serve as deputy director of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Economic Committee. On September 6, 2025, Yi Huiman was investigated for serious violations of discipline and law while in office.
