According to a press release from the Presidential Office, Vice President Hsiao delivered her address in English, stating that she was honored to speak at the "2026 Taiwan-Europe Health Forum" hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT).

She said that building "strategic resilience" in the healthcare system has become one of the cornerstones of Taiwan's national security.
