NEW YORK (Central News Agency, April 29) – Investors digested rising crude oil prices, the Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate decision, and post-market earnings reports from several tech giants, leading to mixed performance for major US stock indices today.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 280.12 points, or 0.57%, to close at 48861.81 points.

The S&P 500 Index fell 2.85 points, or 0.04%, to close at 7135.95 points.

The Nasdaq Index rose 9.44 points, or 0.04%, to close at 24673.24 points.
