U.S.-Iran War Key News

(Washington, CNA, April 29, Comprehensive Foreign Report) U.S. President Trump said in a phone interview with the American news website Axios today that he would not stop the naval blockade against Iran unless Iran agrees to a deal to resolve U.S. concerns about its nuclear program.

Iran proposed to first reopen the Strait of Hormuz and lift the blockade against Iran, but Trump (Donald Trump) rejected it and postponed nuclear negotiations.

During the interview, Trump declined to discuss any military plans against Iran, but he stated: "The blockade is more effective than bombing. They are now gasping for air like pigs stuffed (with food), and their situation will get worse. We cannot let them have nuclear weapons."

Trump pointed out that because Iran cannot export oil, its storage facilities and pipelines are "about to explode."

According to Trump, Iran wants to reach a deal to lift the blockade. "They want a settlement. They don't want me to continue the blockade. I don't want (to lift the blockade) because I don't want them to have nuclear weapons." (Compiled by Chang Cheng-chien) 1150430
